I'm off to hear Linn on Sat night in Picton.
Heard her a couple of years ago in Wellington and had a great night... so hopefully I can get a few Malburians interested and go along.

Is It Better to Buy or Rent?

This might give you some hints.
Nothing unexpected, but a nice little java app to play around with.

HHCTRL.OCX bug fix

Certain third-party applications may not start, and you receive an error message when you start the computer: "Illegal System DLL Relocation"

Recognise this ?

This posting is just to help any Google searchers for HHCTRL.OCX.
There is a recent problem on Windows XP with SP2 for certain 3rd-party apps.. caused by a security download from Mickeysoft..
It was casuing grief on my mother's new PC so I found out the answer via a bit of searching.
Download the update and all should be well.

Internet retailing getting smarter..

Marks & Spencer launches website in collaboration with Amazon

Is this the shape of what we will see in the future of internet retailing ?
M&S are posting some impressive numbers (and growth) for their internet retailing and integrating this operation with the Amazon brand and presumably fulfillemnt services is a smart move.

Little bit of Kiwi gloating over the Ockers

We don't stand up to Kiwis

I think NZ Trade and Enterprise are doing a great job at promoting the NZ IT sector, clearly the potential and opportunities for exporting intellectual capital are evident.
As a small IT dev company it is hard to put on a truly professional image at global IT or trade shows without spending megabucks... and since there are often higher priorites for the budget trade shows get dumped.
Leveraging the effort NZTE is prepared to make (along with other NZ agencies like Immigration etc) makes it affordable, as well as showing the committment NZ has to the sector.
This is exactly the sort of spending/investing the government should be making to drive economic transformation.

Here we go again

Another crack at keeping my online presence organised.
I am trying to see how easy it is to manage content and content filtering via feeds... I am moving all of my previous client-based stores and links to the internet..
So we will see what falls out of this exercise.
